* To network with individuals and other reputable non-profit organizations to intercept horses and ponies in danger of being shipped to Mexico to be inhumanely destroyed * To take these animals into our care or that of a fellow rescue for rehabilitation and retraining * To ultimately match them with approved homes where they will be forever loved and honored * To assist adopters with quarantine and transportation resources * To increase public awareness of the current U.S. slaughter statistics and laws, the industries that profit from them, and how each one of us can arm ourselves with knowledge and make our voices heard
