As we celebrate 70 years of service to the midcoast towns of Maine, Midcoast Humane continues to care for nearly 4,000 animals annually. Every animal that is cared for by Midcoast Humane receives excellent medical care, spay/neuter procedures, life-saving surgeries as needed, vaccinations, preventatives such as flea and heartworm medications, and microchips. We believe that every life is worth saving, and are proud of our 98% Live Release Rate. In addition to local animals, Midcoast Humane saves the lives of 900 animals each year from overcrowded shelters across the country, and in areas affected by natural disasters. Working to ensure the long-term health and well-being of animals and strengthening communities are our top priorities.
