Southern California Genealogical Society is a volunteer-managed society whose mission is to foster interest in family history and genealogy, preserve genealogical materials, and provide instruction in accepted and effective research techniques. The Society has a 40,000+ volume library that is open to the public. The Southern California Genealogy Jamboree, the Society's annual conference that is held the first weekend in June, draws over 1500 attendees from the southwestern US. The Society publishes genealogical materials.
