Cause Description:
As an owner, exhibitor or breeder, the Dog Fancier is often confronted with decisions and courses of action which can impact not only on the individual and his/her dogs, but on their breed, the sport of purebred dogs, and dog ownership in general.  With this in mind, CLDFA conducts basic obedience classes, puppy classes, and behavior management consultations. They actively educate the general public on responsible dog ownership, including spay/neuter of Pets, appropriate care and training of each dog to be a good representative of canines to even Non-dog lovers. Some members actively show in Conformation, Obedience, Agility. Many members are active in Dog Rescue, Humane work, prevention or destruction of Puppy Mills and encourage only RESPONSIBLE dog breeding to improve the breed. Some members simply have family pets they are proud of and encourage others to do the same. Everyone is welcome to learn and be proud of their dogs, purebred or mixed breed!
